The #Health and Safety Executive estimates that over 2 million people are exposed to high levels of noise at work. Exposure to high levels of noise can cause permanent hearing damage, which often goes unnoticed until it’s too late. Sometimes even exposure to a source of high noise for a short period of time can cause serious damage.
The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 (the ‘Noise Regulations’) puts the responsibility on the employers to eliminate or reduce risks to health and safety from noise at work.
Please promote the UK Hearing Conservation Association (UKHCA) and support its vision to “prevent damage to our nation’s hearing health and other noise related health conditions; through practical, evidenced and cost-effective communications and solutions”. http://hearingconservation.org.uk/
